Origin Hosts Political Party of the Season

After lobbying for free drink buttons at AIGA Houston’s 2006 Curtain Call, several hundred members of Houston’s design community attended Double Vision—the after-party hosted by Origin at downtown’s 12 Spot.

In solidarity with 2006’s November elections, DoubleVision featured four candidates for best new drink—all created and tested in-house at Origin. Party-goers chose between the Double Bump, the Split Fountain, the Dry Trap and the Full Bleed.

Said Thomas Guerrero, Senior Designer at Origin, “They were all winners. Really. I tried every one.”

Origin Founder Jim Mousner was unable to attend, but offered this assessment, “Unlike the photos and messages sent to my phone that night, it’s very clear—in terms of political parties, this was a decisive victory.”
