Origin Kicks Up Boots & Coots’ Image with Rebrand

Houston—February 27, 2008—Origin boosted Boots & Coots’ image with a new logo commemorating 30 years of excellence.

“After 30 years in the business, we wanted an identity that would embody our past while illustrating our progress towards an even brighter future,” said Jerry Winchester, President and CEO of Boots & Coots.  “Origin’s creative team portrayed all of this. Their fresh thinking captured the essence of who we are today, while respecting the legacy of our past.  Origin’s rebrand will help take Boots in Coots into its next 30 years, beyond well control into prevention and well intervention.”

Origin designed attention-getting invitations to the company’s anniversary celebration at The Petroleum Club. At the event, the logo was unveiled in a historical video, also created by Origin. The new logo, a stylized oil rig in flame, appears on stationery, uniforms and hardhats, and in an industry magazine advertisement Origin created, as well as on the web site and a variety of other applications.

Boots & Coots, considered the industry’s most experienced well control company, has responded to some of the most difficult well control challenges around the world. Today, that expertise evolves into prevention and pressure-related oil field services such as snubbing and pressure control rental tools.

“I have always admired the work that Boots & Coots has accomplished throughout their history. In creating their new brand image, we wanted a logo that would pay tribute to Boots & Coots’ rich history while serving as a beacon for their future,” said Jim Mousner, Origin Principal and Creative Director.  “The opportunity to rebrand the world’s premiere pressure control company for their 30th anniversary was truly an honor for Origin.”
