Thielen Joins Origin Design as Architectural Associate

Dubuque, IA—Zach Thielen recently joined Origin Design as an Architectural Associate.

In this role, Zach works under the direction of licensed architects preparing construction drawings, technical specifications and cost estimates. He also performs on-site construction administration. 

Zach has a strong knowledge of architectural design and utilizes Autodesk Revit, Google SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop, which allows him to produce high quality renderings for clients. He primarily works on education, industrial, commercial and municipal building projects.

Prior to joining Origin Design this past August, Zach was an Architectural Intern at Origin in 2017. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University.

Last week some of our engineers attended the Dubuque Gate & Pump Station Flood Mitigation Project Kick-Off! We're excited to be partnering with the City of Dubuque, Iowa, Portzen Construction and more on this phase of the Bee Branch Watershed Flood Mitigation Project.

The new facility will include a new flood gate, four new 100,000 gallon per minute pumps (double the capacity of the existing facility), new electrical service, and the installation of back-up generators.
