Courtney Wand, PE, structural engineer at IIW, received her Professional Engineer license from the State of Wisconsin.
Courtney passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination in college and recently passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Examination. To receive her PE license, she also submitted an Application for Professional Engineer Registration which includes letters of reference, college transcripts, and documentation of meaningful engineering employment.
Courtney has five years of experience working on transportation-related projects. She performs structural calculations and bridge detailing for bridge replacements for concrete slab, timber, and girder style bridges. She also provides bridge design support including load rating and false work calculations. Since joining IIW, Courtney has performed load rating calculations on steel, concrete, pre-stressed concrete, timber, and truss type bridges in several counties and municipalities.
Courtney has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
