Origin Design was hired by Epic Construction to provide engineering services for the site design of a new medical building located in Dubuque, Iowa.
The project involved the development of a two-story Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) clinic, with an emphasis on efficient site utilization and functionality.
One of the key challenges of the project was the slope of the property. Origin's engineering team carefully designed the grading and elevations to maximize the site’s potential for the two-story building, which allowed for a walkout to the rear of the building. This allowed the building owner the opportunity to sublease the lower level for a different use.

Additionally, it was important to connect the new building to neighboring parking lots for seamless access and convenience. Origin’s engineers successfully designed a site plan that incorporated these connections, ensuring smooth traffic flow and accessibility for both tenants and visitors. The team’s expertise in site grading and elevation design made it possible to effectively integrate all aspects of the project, delivering a functional and well-planned site for the building.
