Dubuque, IA—On Saturday, June 27, IIW staff members participated in the Run4Troops RunFree event to support our local military.
The RunFree event was a virtual run held in place of the annual Run4Troops event, which was cancelled due to social distancing concerns. Run4Troops supports those who serve by honoring our men and women in uniform, donating all proceeds raised to support Tri-State military members. The RunFree event was organized as a way to continue to support our troops.
IIW staff members Amanda Kennedy, Codi Putnam, Mary Abbott, Eldon Schneider, Marc Ruden, Eric Ure, Bryson Winsky, Nick Schneider, Andy Goedken, and Brian Balser participated in the RunFree event by independently completing a virtual run.
As part of IIW’s wellness initiative, staff was encouraged to participate in the event as a way to stay active.
The RunFree event is not only an opportunity to show support for our troops, but it also helps build comradery amongst IIW’s employee owners who train together, promoting a culture of healthy living in the workplace.
“ Run4Troops is a very high energy event. It was a little different with social distancing, but we still made the best of it. This is our second year participating as Team IIW, and we already can’t wait for next year! ”
