Zach Thielen, AIA, recently received his Architectural License from the State of Iowa.
Zach passed the Architect Registration Examination administered by the Iowa Architectural Examining Board. The exam consists of seven divisions, including Programming, Planning & Practice; Site Planning & Design; Building Design & Construction Systems; Structural Systems; Building Systems; Construction Documents & Services; and Schematic Design. In addition to taking the exam, before being approved for registration, two other requirements must be met. This includes establishing an NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) Council Record and completing the Intern Development program administered by NCARB. Zach met both of these requirements.
Zach has over five years of design experience on several different project types, including government, commercial, and industrial facilities. He has a strong knowledge of Revit Architecture, Google SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop, where he has the ability to produce high quality renderings. He also easily coordinates and collaborates between disciplines during the design process.
Zach has a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University.
Congrats, Zach!
