Origin Design relocated its Dubuque office and corporate headquarters from the city’s West End to Lower Main.
With an eye on attracting and retaining clients and employees, and increasing their brand exposure, Origin leadership selected The Platinum Building at 137 Main Street as the new location for their Dubuque office. The five-story Platinum Building is an iconic building in Dubuque’s historic downtown. Built in 1906, the Renaissance Revival Architectural Style building has had many renovations and tenants over the years.
Prior to move-in, Origin Design’s architects designed a collaborative and creative space for their employees and clients. The spaces were partially remodeled with the majority of the work performed on first floor, including construction of a corridor, removal of some walls and the addition of a conference room and large community room.
The community room has an open and airy feel, with contemporary circular pendant lights and modern, movable seating.
A “kitchen island” was installed and serves as a popular gathering space when the room is in use. The community room is utilized by employees over the lunch hour, for company meetings and events, and as an alternate workspace.
Brand splashes are sprinkled throughout the floors adding a modern and bold feel, while also preserving the historic feel of the space.
Origin Design occupies most of 1st floor, and all of 2nd and 3rd floors at the Main Street location.
